I was selling it, but as the battery light has come on (the alternator's fine, it's a wiring issue) and it's now leaking power steering fluid (from the cooler) it's not really worth selling.

I'm not going to chuck more money into it for no gain so I'm going to have to break it! Loads of bits available as the car's in good condition

Problem is, there's not a lot you can do before you either ruin it, or cost yourself an absolute fortune!

Not sure about the price of the gearbox to be honest - Open to offers!

 

why not sell it complete mate, estates are awsome and id love one some day, i just have to stick with my st24 for the time being

 

Dan the cooler is a ฃ5 fix and the battery light will be the wiring issue that ford issued a technical service bullitin about, ford will supply you with a lead from the alternator to i think the battery to fix it

I know mate, but there's also fluid coming from the bellhousing, which means it's gearbox-out time again. And it needs new HT leads. I want to sell the car not spend ages fixing it, only for someone to offer me peanuts for the car.

ฃ50 for the driveshafts and intermediate shaft.

 

Because It's worth nothing as it is! I'd be lucky to get 1300 as a whole. Gutted to break it, but it's the only way to get money out of it.

what else is different from a normal st24 engine wise

 

There are some internal differences, but the cams, airbox and map are different.
Can still get decent gains with just the inlets and TB.

Looking for ฃ250 for both inlets and TB, and ฃ300 for that plus cams.

Work has gone into the car, but it's worth bugger all as it stands so breaking it is the only option if I want to get some cash out of it.

Looking at mk3 mondeo next. Need a large car for the family!

The bumpers have been 'spoken for', so all that's left is the sideskirts. You want them?

 

what would you take for the inlet manifolds and throttle body pal, and maybe ECU? also, what sort of gain dyu reckon it would give me ST24 if you know?

Would do ECU and key for ฃ40. And cams for ฃ50. With that lot you're getting very near to the ST200's 200bhp

 

Funnily enough, i put a bid in on ebay, didnt realise it was you till now, ay, coincidence!

don't suppose you have the original air filter box and hoses do you, i'm after one for my ST200 which currently has a K&N on it, really want to get it back to standard, not a fan of K&N, bad experience on a previous car.

Also what is the interior like as i am after the leather center headrest for mine.

hi do u think the alloys from your st will fit my st170 i have 17 on the now 225/45/r17, heard on one site that u can use 18`s do u know thanks dean

 

did you not look at the post above yours dan has stated the car is long gone as its an old advert

st200 alloys are same size as st170 only the offset is a tad different and 18s fit mondys and focus easy
