I like the bit in brackets(not knowing any better), if he doesn't know any better than to put his hands near moving objects like that it probably is no loss to him anyway.
I used to leave mine running and then just use spray on grease to spray the chain, it was anti fling, though did a bit.

did the same thing on my bmx when i was 10 lol
saw my shoelace undone whilst riding my bmx and thought yes lets tie it up whilst riding

managed to peddle two of my fingers between the chain and crank ring , then to top it off had my fingers still stuck and rolled to a stop and fell over

on the plus side it free,d my fingers falling off the bike .. only trouble was i left the tips of 2 of my fingers stuck in the crank


and yes it fookin hurt too

I REALLY don't understand the mentality of people that do things as stupid as this, poking things in moving machinery is never going to end well, As the saying goes, don't put your fingers where you wouldn't put your dick, and it's true.
Guy i know who's a mechanic told me a story a couple of months ago about some other mechanic who minced his hand on a crank pulley/belts, apparently he'd been sanding the pulley down with emery cloth when the car was running, been doing it for years apparently....not anymore tho.

Why would you use wd40 on a chain anyway,nevermind sticking your fingers anywhere near it whilst it was running in gear .Every time I use my bike the chain gets cleaned/scrubbed and greased with chain lube whilst on a stand but not fucking running what a cock.

 

Im never going to eat any cake that you have baked if thats how you mix them!

 

He probably, to this day cant put his finger on why he did it.

 

I can safely say i do excercise some restraint, and don't always put my dick where i've put my fingers.... it was more of an example really. For the more mentally challenged of us, if your ever in doubt, just stop and think for a second!
