what sort of power should i be looking at,since all the work has been done the car does not feel over responsive on boost, the tuner says the turbo seems lazy when spooling, and why is the boost dropping straight off.

Yeah as above 170-190bhp on a stock T3 is normal, the boost is dropping off presumably as the revs increase yes?
This is beacause as the RPM goes up the amount of air flow needed from your T3 to hold any given boost pressure increases, and as it is a stock T3 on an engine with a ported, cam'd head, it cant do 17psi.
What is it holding, 11/12psi?
A upgraded T3 is your answer

Yeah thats what I expected...
Stage 2 or 3 T3 is what you want mate, just be aware that the Stage 3 will be laggy on a little 1.6 making peek boost around 3700-4000rpm, so really depends on what you use your car for, IMO stage 2 is perfect for daily driving.

Turbo Tecnics or CR Turbo's, just google them mate.
Thats impressive, the two engines i've had Stage 3 T3's on never made full boost that early, but then they were running a Kent CVH 35 and a Piper 285T2 which didnt help!

I recommend vince @ http://www.crturbos.co.uk/ I get all of mine from their, best service ever, tell them your spec and what you are after and they will built it to suit
Matt35,
Also try http://www.shepherdmotors.co.uk/services.html as they are really helpful and tell you like it is.. Also they have built some nice motors with differing stages of turbos so know what they are talking about and the best thing of all they are quite reasonable not cheap but cheap enough.
