Primera 2.0 eGT trackday car £950
Some of you off here will recognise my red Primera Gt from numerous trackdays over the past few years, for sale because i fancy a change.
Brief history.
Its a 1994 Primera (p10) 2.0 16v eGT hatch, bought by myself in 2007 from the 2nd owner - came with full history (receipts and bills etc etc). It has the bombproof 2.0 SR20DE engine in with the candy red cam cover. Worthwhile to note that the earlier engines in the p10 models feature more agressive cams than the later ones, giving slightly more power at higher revs (officially 150bhp as oposed to 143 in later ones).
This was rolling road'd at our annual event and made 163bhp, at 6900 rpm !!
The earlier primeras also feature full multi-linked suspension all round meaning fantastic handling out of the box, especially for a family saloon.
The car was purchased in order that i could build a reliable and fun, but cheap trackday car, the intention was as much track time for as little running costs as possible and in fairness the nissan has exceeded that expectation.
The car has now done 117k, and is as tight as a drum. It uses NO oil, or water, coolant temps remain rock solid at half way, no matter how long the track sessions or hot the day is. There are NO oil/water leaks, and the engine bay is very dry and clean. The engine is mechanically bog standard apart from a K&N induction kit. I replaced the entire exhaust system with a quality Bosal system (including twin downpipes), Primeras dont benefit from large bore noisy bulshit exhausts - mines whisper quiet and only records 83db in trackday noisetesting.
Other mechanical modifications centre around reliability for track use.
Suspension has been lowered 40mm, and brakes have been uprated with 285mm discs (mintex) and larger calipers of the later P11gt. Brake pads are OMP competition at the front, mintex M1144 at the rear.
Both rear calipers have been renewed, along with handbrake cables (common primera weakspots, but all fine now for years to come)
Its had both front suspension top links and rear ARB drop links replaced as they were squeaky!
Other than that its as Nissan intened, and has been 100% reliable, both on the road and all the track days ive done.
Interior wise, weightloss and safety was the key. Front seats have been replaced with 2 x Cobra Suzuka FIA approved race seats. (nearly £650's worth)These are in the GT width for normal sized big blokes and are massivly comfortable and very very supportive. Sabelt harnesses are fitted - 3" one for the driver. all trim and headlining has been removed (ie carpets, rear seats, door cards etc). The electric windows, sunroof and central locking are still there (all working perfectly). Dash and twin airbags are still there and in mint condition.
Further weightloss would be possible with perspex windows, remove the sunroof etc etc if you desired.
The car comes (for an extra £500) with a brand new set of Compmotive MO's in 7x17 size, in anthracite, with new 205/40/17 marangoni tyres on. These have done no more than 300 miles and are unmarked (not cheap wheels either LOL)
It also will come with a set of 16" alloys with 195/45/16 tyres on (6mm on all matching tyres) , and a set of 15" GT alloys with worn R888's on (probably another trackday left in them)
All spares come with the car, ie new pads, brake hoses, other service items, filters etc etc.
basically its a ready to go trackday package that in the right hands is more than capable of embarassing faster cars. The reliability aspect is a massive selling point as it allows you huge amounts of tracktime, which is what you want.
Car is MOT'd till the end of November 2010 year - Taxed till end of Feb 2010
Please bear in mind that the plate transfer will be done this week (15th October) so it will be back on the original M reg.
Price is £950 with the 16"Nissan wheels, £1450 with the comps.

If the Civic goes anytime soon then I will probably be in touch, reckon it'd be a laugh having this as something to put the dog cage in for walking duties and the occasional punt around Knockhill too.
Any interior pictures? Do you have the interior that was stripped out, or is that junked now?
Cheers,
Grant

This car is the bargain of the year , no exception
Ive been there and done it and it cost's more than you realise to put a car on track , seriously
Also been up against this car and and believe me it can move with the best of them with the right driver
If i had the money sitting around i'd buy this Matt as i know what its capable of and would see me able to get round those corners that a c20xe corser couldn't lmao
Good luck to whoever buy's this car as its one hell of a machine !!
