Default An annoying little problem.......

Well after 4 years of my escos never missing a beat, it seems to have developed a little problem. Every now and then when going over either a speed bump or a pot hole, the car just dies and the ignition lights come on and i roll to a stop. It just loses all power. When i come to a standstill, it fires up again no problem.

Now im thinking this must be a loose connection somewhere, as its only ever happened twice over the same speed bump and twice over the same pot hole, but where do i start with this? Ive alos noticed a gradual loss in power recently so maybe this could be connected in some way?

Anyone else had a similar problem and any advice on where to start would be appreciated.

Cheers.

me mate had the exact same prob with his mk5 rs2000 ,and it was traced backed to a dodgy mini fusebox that bolts onto the positive battery terminal, same as on an escos

Where would i find the fuel cut off mate? If it was the crank sensor wouldnt that bring an error code up?

Ill check that mate cheers. Come to think of it, it only started doing it after i changed the battery. Was it correded wiring on your mates or bad connection/s?

Cheers.
