hey all...i discovered the problem with my rs and it was boost pipe

from the turbo...everytime i floor it and it get to around 14psi it will blow

off... is there anyway to manually turn the boost down?and what psi do

standard rs turbo's run at?

STD boost on a RS is 7 psi i belive mate, and you can manualy change it by adjusting the actuator mate

 

just get a new jubilee clip, should sort out the problem, or you may have an engine mount serieously worn and engine is rocking too much.
you can just wind the ctuator rod out a bit to drop the boost, but 14psi isn't high in terms of boost pressure.

 

oh rite...so what bhp are the escort rs's from standard...and yeh a new clip sounds like the right idea...its a bit of a pain to get to though..ij just have to have play tommorow.!!

 

std bhp is around the 130 mark give or take mate,
