i have a hole on a steering gaiter, i had bought new one, but i had seen a lot of hydraulic fluid in the gaiter ...

so, i think that i have a leak on the steering rack ..

does it a usual problem?

can i change some seals or i need to buy a new one or a recond one ?

 

sounds like a new rack is needed mate, haven't seen rebuild kits of yet, what car is it i'm guessing it has power steering.

 

its on my sierra 4*4 cosworth

 

You can re seal them quite easy, I don't know if ford do a seal kit, otherwise could just buy using the 6 figure number on the seal from a seal supplier, quite a easy rack to do.
