I'm new to this forum and thought I would post some pics of my ride.
1999 Ford Escort ZX2

never seen one of those before, what engine does it use?

 

it has the 2.0L Zetec in it. and front wheel drive. This one is fully built with a t3/t4 turbo.

 

theres me thinking i no my escorts!!!!!nice

 

Looks like, and its certainly different from the usual Escorts we see here. Any more info on the engine?

It was turboed on a stock motor, for the entire year.
This is what i did over last year. Crower Rods, Wesico 9:1 cr pistons, stock crank, P&P head with stage 3 Ford Racing Vavle train, Stock cams for now. 42lb green injectors, 90mm MAF sensor, and much more.

The motor still able to run I decided to build a motor, to handle for boost.
started out with this.

Decided to weld up the side vents on the rear of the car. they would leak and fill my trunk with water.

as you can see, that the wastegate hits the core support, and the support had to be moddified.

Isnt that the ST170 ? or is it just a different cam cover

 

I don't think it is but its along the same lines and build. Ford built this motor just for the escort line, but it has a Variable Cam Timing system on it.
