for me, yes, i just gave 100 pound each for 2 escort si's(diffrent sellers) no crash damage-no mot's but 1 was solid car with gearbox fault

i wouldnt give more than 150 for it, or any car without mot tbh

just a very fast look

even to break them theres no money in the parts exept the gti specific stuf, the rest just dont sell,

if you just want a stop gap car try looking at 18 si's same engine, simerler spec, but a fuck load easyer to find cheep ones with or without mots (i found both mine in 2 days)

Ive just bought one to run about in mate, pleasently surprised, decent little cars for not a lot of money.

Not worth it IMO.

My mate bought a nice 3dr GTi for £1050 recently. 17's, lowered, exhaust, no rot etc.
A 5dr needing work thats gonna stand you £800-£900 finished aint a bargain.

Nice runaround tho. If it goes bang, whack a 2 litre straight in, instant power upgrade.
3dr just needs interior and wheels, and its an RS2000 to the untrained eye.

insurance group is a lot higher than the equivalent 1.8 Escort Si for no more performance which seems a con to me
