Default Mondeo Gem Modual

I have a mk3 mondeo 2001 and i think the gem modual is messing up. Its ether that or possibly the micro switch in the centeral locking.

Problem is when i drive off it dead locks the drivers door and you can only open it using the key fob and also now some times when i open the car with the remote and opne the door the alarm goes off until i press the unlock button again

Anyone know if this is a gem modual problem and also can these just be swapped of does it need programmed by ford if i was to change it?

Thanks
