hi all newbie here although i actually registered years ago never used it lol


i bought a cheap s2 of some chap and to be hoenst its a project

it smokes, the cams noisey, prob needs welding underneith but its h reg and red with 17s etc


so it smokes.....

start it up idle wise it smokes, but when driving its not too bad atall, come to a stop and idle it starts smoking, rev it it will smoke then clear if know what mean, i dont think its the guide seals as i think they might of been done

so prob rings????

looking at it now on my driveway im tinking what have i got myself into can i be arsed to do this one, but i do love the s2s and reds my fav colour, all depends on if i can find a cheap cam and sort the smoking issue out

 

it dose sound like rings but 1st just check all the brether pipes are right as these motor can play up if there piped up rong

 

that did go though my mind, which ones and location etc?

just ran it and it does stall when rocker cover cap removed or dipstick, so that means there clear and as they should be i spose??



even if it is rings i think the car was still a bargain at £450

at £450 just strip the engine and freshen it up.

Dont cost much if you do most of the work youreself.
