Default HYBRID TURBOS

Hi all,

Get my hybrid turbo back tomorrow its got 360º bearing, sierra cosworth 4x4 turbo housing, water cooled bearing housing, new shaft & turbine etc. I have been quoted £390 to get all that done does that sound about right?

What boost can I run up to using this turbo, large intercooler and uprated actuator, chipped ecu and low compression engine.

What power would I be expecting out of my car once this is done.

Cheers
Dave

Its not all about how much boost you can run, have you got the fuel to match the boost.

Do you have any fuel mods done to the car.

I dont see why you should have to run 22PSI to get 220 bhp, i would have thought 18psi max( depending on engine mods) would be enough to make 220bhp.

have you got an uprated intercooler james ? If you have why not turn the boost up a bit, you should get 220bhp then with those mods !

What about a gas flowed head ? When I ran my car at 11psi it was pants, only about 170 bhp but when the boost was turned up I saw 257bhp !! If you get an uprated head you will see loads more power for the boost, especially if you have the other mods to go with it like you have ! something to think about at least

Just fitted the new Turbo. Bit more laggy but when it kicks in its off. Really impressed.

Its was a company called The Turbo Centre in Heckmondwike. Not got any pics off the completed turbo but there is one of the housing

Its had a complete rebuild and a 360 degree bearing in it, cost £390 cash with a 2 year warranty.
