I beleive you just recheck the gap after about 500miles, but seeing as I got no intructions with it I'm not 100% until they email me back.
A few fitting tips!
Make sure you torque the rocker arms to the required torque setting when gapping the lifters, and then ensure that you retorque them exactly the same after removing the lifters and locking them in position, makes a big difference to the final gap!!
If you've had any valve work done to your head tell Newmans when you order the Cam so they can machine down the adjuster bolt heads on the lifters, or you may find you dont have enough adjustment as I didnt
This is because if the valve seats have been recut the valves will sit further up in the head and so the valve stems will stick through further pushing the rocker arm down more at the lifter end. The other way around this is to install a second set of rocker arm shims to raise the rocker arms up a couple of mm giving you the extra clearance you need (this is what I did as I had a spare set kicking around).
Other than that it's quite an easy job, does take longer than fitting a normal Cam/lifter set, and does tap a little more than a hydraulic setup but not much!
The standard Cam/lifters i removed (2000miles old, ran in properly) is fucked as one of the lifters had burr'd over it's base so much i could not pull it through the top of the head and had to drop it out the bottom............. not unexpected!

I always very carefully lift them and if any reistance is felt at all I drop them out the bottom after removing the cam.
Also scoring the bores doesnt matter so much if you've gone mechanical lifters, as they no longer rely on oil pressure to work.

It was almost like a glue, thick and sticky! lol
The Cam lube that came with my last cam kit was like water so I used this stuff instead as I thought it would stick to the cam long enough for the oil to get round!
Newmans didnt supply me with anything which suprised me, nor any instructions for how to set the lifters and run it in ( I know it's not hard but would of been nice).
Why do you ask mate?

i've seen that water stuff before - straight into the bin that went... I've never had a cam wear on any of my cvh's - must be just luck, the sticky stuff is what i've always used.
