Right..Some of you guys must have 13" wheels...
On sierra hubs? What's the biggest brakes you've fitted on them? I have cosworth 4pot calipers on cosworth discs and my 13" wheels are not going on. I don't want to compromise on braking performance. I am putting an s2000 engine in my kit car!
I'm sure the smallest you'll get over them are 15's and i had to use 3mm spaces to get steel wheels to fit, not that you will want steel wheels, you shouldn't need too big brakes on a kit car will you as it won't way much.
I've realised the calipers and discs i have are going to go. I am looking for suggestions for a disc and caliper combo that i can replace it with, with comparable performance that isn't as expensive as wilwoods Ł300 option!
so ideally a 240 disc as the wilwood calipers are designed to allow maximum clearence were as a stock caliper isnt
or maybe bigger if you can find big clearence calipers
THEDMANs set up sounds ok

with 240s you know your safe, 260s your taking a risk with the calipers.
if you brought some 240 discs and sold your cossie ones you could try the 240s with the cossie calipers and then you havent lost all your money,
and then even if they dont ft you can sell thjose on and buy some different ones

I believe the cosworth calipers were too deep too. as in they hit the 'spoke' if you will. So the wheel will have to be spaced. I don't think there will be much thread left to bolt down onto though!
Will these take the cosworth calipers clamping down on em? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-SIERRA-82...d=p3286.c0.m14
maybe 3mm spacer and 2 off the caliper
spacers are about a fiver i reckon for the pair.
id get the tape measure owt though and do some thinking cos theres no point spending that money if theres no chance of it fitting

it must have some form of bracket holding it up, cut and weld this down to size or drill some more holes and cut the top bit off.
depends how the caliper is held there.
take some pics if you can of the problems then it may be easier to figure out
