Hi,

After much consideration I have decided to sell my S1 After spending so much time,effort and money on it. I LOVE this car so much but just dont use it enough. So want something i can use daily and enjoy.

About the car:

Series One RS Turbo 1986 'C' custom 114k
Electric Windows, tilt and slide sunroof, Alarm/immob and remote central locking.

Massive amount of paperwork, including all handbooks, bills,recipts, service books, dealership books, MOT's etc etc

This car is SOLID, floor pans are original and unwelded with chassis numbers present - getting rare now!! Battery tray, inner wings, doors, boot all spot solid and whiter than white,

This car only comes out on sunny days and is always garaged/covered up.

Paintwork is as it looks totally immaculate, NO dents/dinks NO scratches NO stonechips (bar one)
The only marks on the paint is ONE small stone chip on the front bumper, one small blemish on the rise of the rear quater, a couple of mm in size.
Has been polished with the best products and always cleaned after every use.

Interior:
The front seats have NO rips and NO wear and NO stains, again rare, the backseats are like brand new. Carpet is excellant. Headlining is like new, NO sagging, it's really really good.

The dash board has ONLY one 1cm hairline (and I do mean hairline) split, you have to look hard to spot it as it hasn't opened up. Other than a boost gauge in the area the speaker joystick sat its standard.

I do have an original stereo to go with the car, but never wired it up to the speakers - but powered up so should be fine.

Gearbox is fantastic, silky smooth, NO issues at all.

Engine is quiet, no smoking, rattling or banging, no hot or cold start issues, fires up on the button. No leaks.

The car has no cooling issues, doesn't overheat in traffic etc - a relief as many do!!

Electrics, everything works as it should so nothing to worry about there.

Full Koni suspension with adjustable ride
NEW S2 calipures discs and pads - a month old
Stainless Steel exhaust - mongoose with 3" tail, sounds lovely
Standard S1 alloys with New pirelli P5000 tyres
Upgraded turbo only done around 5000 miles, stage 3 hybrid t3

The car was mot'd last month and flew through with no advisories is also taxed till october.

Since owning the car, I have done a fair few bits that i wanted to make better, new fuel tank, new fuel pump bracket and carrier, new brake line clips, new battery, new complete S2 brake set up, new genuine ford rocker gasket, sump plug, exhaust mounting rubbers, new chrome top carrello headlights, washer jet pipes, new large battery (previous was to small) CD player.

All below are brand new within last few months:

Slam Panel Blaking Plates,new mikalor/jubalie clips all round,Chrome Charge Carrier,stainless vin/colour plates (originals kept),powercoated s1 rockercover in imperial blue (very close match to the hoses),New roose boost hoses,new coolant hoses,small focus rs badges to blanking plates,stainless strut brace,new bosch leads,new stat,coolant sensor,cossie rad fan switch,

New headlights,new spotlights,new indicators,new side repeators,new rear lights,new numberplate lights

New rs mats,rear quarter glass fixing covers,immaculate RS 3 spoke wheel fitted (very rare this clean),brand new cassette holder,

Cambelt and oil and filter change just done better to be safe than sorry.

Had a full set up and rolling road tune by interpro just a few months back and runs at 204bhp @ 16psi

All in all this is a very very clean, very solid and mechanically sound S1 with plenty of history that anyone would be proud to show.

Parts that will come with the car if the asking price is met,all parts kept to put the car back to standard.

High quality breather waterproof car cover
RSOC seat covers in blue
New alternator
S1 calipures - needing refurb
Period stereo
Loads of clips ford wiring harnes clips, white rivets
fuse box cover
dash speaker vent
Original steering wheel
Any parts that have been removed to fit the chrome parts have been kept
maybe more, will have to see what is in the parts box

PLUS a tin of the paint used when it was resprayed a few years back, so touch ups will not be an issue.


Might be interested in a p/x depending on what it is.

I want as close to £6995 as possible, or it stays in the garage for me to go and admire from time to time!!

Lovely looking car - always had a soft spot for S1

If you can afford to keep it and run another daily car you should - I cant comment on prices as not looking to buy one.

if you sell it I guarantee you will see similar cars at shows in future years and wish you'd kept it - I saw some at a show on Sunday and they really are a lovely looking car, and mint ones I would think will keep going up in price like MkI's and MkII's now.

Hi, yes the car sold outside ebay, i removed all the bids to end the auction but ebay wouldnt let me end the auction early so people started to bid on the car again.The guy is meant to be picking it up on sat.

 

Stunning car!

Weird at the moment, this car goes for 7k, my RS1600i has bodywork just as mint, with an RST lump fitted, and wont sell for 4k.
