hi guys, jus in the proccess in converting my 4x4 saph to 2wd thiss weekend, and come accross an unexpected problem. the chassis seems to be different as the gearbox cradle only bolts to one side, nothing on the other side to bolt to??
any sujestions??

I did this a while ago now and found the same probleb i just used a piece of angle iorn drilled for gearbox mount and then bolted through tunnel this worked fine.

 

As above need to fabricate something(strong), easy enough as fortunately there is loads of room.

Apparently there is a cradle that fits properly - it's from a cvh engined sierra iirc!!

kool, i done mine now and its fine and dandy, i used 5o x 5o piece of box section. used 3 bolts to bolt to the floor and two bolts to bolt to the cradle. nice simple and easy really.
