Exclamation How to get wires from the engine compartment to the inside of the car on a Ford Focus

I am installing a PA system in my car and some new lights, but the problem I am having is, I can not find where I can put the wires through to the inside of the car so I can link it to a switch. It is a Ford Focus MK1 Zetec.

Please can anyone help, as I don't want to drill a hole.

Cheers, BHBP, kind of means nothing to me but I will have a look, if you could show me a photo that would be great. I'm not good with cars as you can tell.

Im nearly sure on the focus it isnt a rubber grommet it is like a big hard plastic multi plug that bolts together so you cant get the wires through there.

I Had to drill a hole anyway as i was running zero gauge and the hole needed to be like an ince for the firewall grommet for it.

Yeh I still couldn't find anything. Fortunate enough though, I just happened to be at a Pub today where there was a ford meet up so, this person there showed me how he had done it.

They ran the wire from by the top right of the bonnet, through like the side panel into the door. It then went from the door under plastic frame and under the dashboard.

what r u trying to install?

the best way to run wires from the enigine to inside then u need come down the side of the door and through the rubber gromit, take off the plastic trim and pull it through , just be careful u dont pinch the wire inside the door when u close it

easiest way would be to tape them to the side of the car and in through a slightly open window.

Is a focus not a multiplug with loads of pins in it instead of a rubber grommet with wires just going through it.

I know a mondeo is like that and you cant run cables through it without drilling a hole where there is a blank place for the pin.

You need to go through the inner wing!

And use the spare grommet on A pillar.

If not drill a hole above the pedal box where the throttle cable goes through being careful to miss the servo.

hi i made some progess moving my battery to the boot of my focus RS, there are plenty pics of how i routed the cable, so it may help you routing other wiring/cabling into the cabin,
