Default My Fast Ford Magazine feature - RS1600i

Well Im guessing most of you know of my RS1600i and the story it tells.

Today was photoshoot day. I was up and out at 7am.

Washed the car, polished it, polished it again, then quick detailed it another 3 times .

Shoot started at 2pm and only just finished in time at about 7:45pm tonight . But what can I say, the attention to detail and the shots the guy were producing were unreal.

Im so happy with how its all turned out

The car wont be in the mag untill next month or maybe November, as the write up is still taking place.

Ive been asked buy the photographer not to show any proofs, untill the feature is published so will respect his wishes. but I did manage to get a few in myself.

This is probably going to be a first feature of its kind in fast ford ,I dont want to give too much away yet (as well I dont know exactly my self).

But all I can say Is its gone be worth buying

Congrats, if anyone deserves it for the amount of time, effort and simply having the heart to rebuild it after the fire it is you.

Well done

Will make a nice change and a good read me thinks

Im still a bit shocked, thinking its not really happening. I never thought Id ever get a one of my cars into a mag. I mean ive had an escort cossie which was near mint and V low miles, but I never thought lets call it the underdog car would be worthy of a feature.

I always thought Id need an open cheque book and 600bhp to even get a sniff at a mag, now all of a sudden its happened. Im so chuffed.

Im gona buy at least 10 copys

just a shame you didnt clean that bug sat in the photo, gosh they do look ugly compaired to what we, ford owners have.

can i ask to why a feature was put in with a VW? was it todo with classic cars or something? but its fastford, and the bug deffo aint fast, nor is it even a ford haha.

Are you serious

The bug is mid resto, its in fresh paint, I only sprayed it last week

Im guessing you dont know me or what ive been up to?

As said this Fast Ford feature is going to be unique and completly different to anything you have seen.

The Aston martin, Vw and 3 door cossie are all part of the shoot along with the RS1600i. The link- ive restored all of them, in the last year or so. not to mention the other 15 previous. (S1rst, escos, mk1 mexio, 1949 bug to name a few)

Go do a search on me and take a look at my restos, ive been told they are all a good read

As for "us ford owners not having ugly cars" YOU my friend need to go so specsavers

Your better off contacting the photographer, as I believe the photos are his/copyright ? And fast ford buy them from him?? well thats how i understand it anyway

arr that explains the persistance

Sorry ade i didnt reply, After all the excitment is forgoten the chaps name knew it was steve or stu or similar.

I was waiting for him to email me, so i could then let you know. but dan saved the day first

The shoot was very very last min, and steve just happened to be the closest to me and available litterally the next day after a call.

Top top bloke, he was here for 5.5 hours. I thought how the hell can it take this long when he turned up and said be will be finished about 8pm but fuck me I can see where all the hard work goes. the shots he showed me amazing.

Bloody typical tho, I usually use a beard trimmer as i like a bit of stubble. but on tuesday I had a close shave, for some reason.

Dan calls wednesday says the shoot is on for thurs . So not only do i not look "my usual self" in the pics, ive got a bloody spot on my face from the close shave. and i never get spots SO dan bit of photoshopping hey .

I know

98 watchers (mostly you lot probably lol)
1360 views
19 bids

I set a reseve of Ł2000 (which is still bloody cheap), but during the editing of the add some how the reserve function was lost.

I got an email from ebay saying they are aware i have set and paid for a reserve but I can not use the feature as there are bids on the car.

Some litterally bid on the car an housr after it was up,so the time i realised the reserve was not there it was too late

To be honest if it goes for 1800 I will be happy, simply because I could do with the space here, and its one less thing to worry about.

Ill see how i feel, but i can always bid my self or get a mate to bid if i get cold feet.

Sad thing is its a bloody good anc cheap buy, especially now its in fast ford, its that bit more special. If it dont go then ill just keep a classified ad running. I guess ite not the sort of car to sell quickly as its quite a small target audience who will buy an RSi.

We will see

Quite often can take that long! I've heard of some snappers taking eleven hours+ over a car mag shoot

When the owner's been mega pushed for time I've managed to rattle out a full shoot in an hour before, but on the other hand I have also spent two whole days in a studio setting up and perfecting a single shot assignment!
Just have to try and work to the specific job's demands really!

Steve said would have stayed longer to get some darker sunset ones, but he had a footie match to play at southend for 9pm

Ebay listing has finished. Bid is canceled. So shes still up for sale.

Cant believe it hasnt gone yet, guess its a limited market for rsi's!?
