3dr headlights

this is not a sale post....

was clearin out the workshop and found a pair of brand new 3dr headlights i bought at nat day in 2000 in the shed....lol

bloke over here wants them but not sure of value,can they still be got

i bought a pair about 6 months ago.. brand new for £58 the pair.... hth

 

Shove them on ebay, let the buyers tell you what they're worth!

See what GSM capri sapres sell em for and then cut 10-20% off the price

 

on another note Im sure I have brand new headlight glass somewhere too

 

The lucas ones usually come with Cibie glass anyway

Dont forget these new ones need the internal wiring to be swapped or modded to work properly on a 3dr

 

Paul - what is this mod to the wiring?

 

the new ones have saff internal looms for some reason so you need to swap out the ones form the original lights or do a little mod to re route the power correctly, I cannot quite remember what the mod is, but has been detailed on here in another thread somewhere

i bought two sets in 2000 and fitted one set to my 3dr.didnt have to mod anything....

 

The lucas pattern reflectors were better than the cibie, which is very unusual, but had both and defo lucas better.

may have well been a bad batch then and you were lucky to get the correct ones both sets I have had over the last couple of years had to have the mod as have many people on here, Capri spares on ebay used to even list how the mod had to be done to the ones they sold

 

I have lucas in mine and paid £85 for the brand new pair in December - fitted in with no issues
