I don't normally play games much but I got bought a PS3 with COD4 and Im addicted to it trying to get up the ranks online

Who else has this game? I got very lucky the other week and got 28 kills with 4 assists which is brilliant for someone who averages about 8 - 12 kills

I even managed to get a picture of the screen with my phone to prove it

i sort of play it

mostly just run around in circles getting shot by people i didnt even know was there
its annoying playing with the headset on as you then find out the person who keeps killing you is 7 years old

 

Tis a great game and I have wasted hours on it, I finally ranked to 10th Prestige 55 about a week ago. My best record is 41 kills, 3 deaths. 21 kill streak. Somedays I play and get so immensely frustrated with newbies who have no frickin idea. Then I look back and think, it's a game, stop being a twat

That is annoying getting killed all the time by a little kid my mates kid went online and he is about 8 and he just ran round like a nutter killing everyone I tried that when I got home and got annihilated

I play this and WAW way too much!!

Every night sometimes, but it's fun to cool down (after a long day at work) with shooting someone in the face

The only time I got p1ssed off with the game was when there was a stage of people cheating online and flying about and shooting from underground or high up in the air

Has even one stopped cheating yet (like flying about). About a week ago nearly every game I joined all the people where flying about. I just ended up with a sniper rifle shooting the cunts down.

 

The game makers or sony seem to have sorted the problem now as they had alot of complaints about it and I haven’t seen any cheating lately

 

I found the best way to rank up is to do the gun challenges, you'll find them in barracks when you're in a lobby.
Dont do what i did and find your favourite gun and keep using it. You'll wonder why your mates are ranking up well faster than you
Try and do a weapon class at a time though, because you'll need to change your playing style depending on class. i.e. you won't have much luck trying to snipe people with a shotgun from the other side of the map.
I think after 150 kills with a weapon you get 1000xp and there's also challenges for headshots etc.
if you struggle to get kills play domination as you get xp for capturing objectives too

 

I'm glad they've sorted that out. It was boring TBH. Very easy to pick people off when they are floating about.

On the Overgrown map, I hate it when players hide in the rockface on the centre of the map. If you want to cheat, go elsewhere, its a game you fuckers!!

On Pipeline when peeps hide in the underground tunnel behind the grating. Bugger off and cheat somewhere else

 

I normally try and get the 1000 points for some of the weapons I can use Ive not played any of the other games except team deathmatch so I will have to give them a go sometime

So am I I found some of them couldnt be killed tho no matter how many clips you emptied into them

Ive never got the hang of using a shotgun and they seem to work brilliant for the enemy on maps like Vacant as I get killed many times by them

Youtube doesnt help telling people how to do these cheats either

 

Oh and knives. I can pump 100 rounds from an LMG into you....nothing.

Use the 4 shot auto, with grip as perk1, stopping power as perk 2 and extreme conditioning as perk3

Don't bother aiming just hunt the fuckers down, roughly line it up and bap bap. 2 pumps is usually enough to put most folk down.

You will be quicker than most other people so use this to your advantage. I find it enjoyable chasing people plus the shotgun has a sort of fuck off feel to it.

I had to go into "display options" and select "from the beginning" thats why I couldn't see it as the post was older than a day

Ive never played anything other than the actual game and team deathmatch so wouldn't have a clue what to do in hardcore headquarters

 

sod that,hardcore is a pain in the arse plus i am crap at hardcore.

Didnt try hardcore yesterday as I wimped out I only managed to play a couple of maps before I had to go out but I did try the shot gun and thats awesome at killing people up close
