hi i have recently got my hands on a mint condition 2.9xr 4x4 , if i drive car straight away after starting her she hickups badly, but if i leave it ticking over for a few minutes its fine, also occassionaly owt on the road it feels like it dies for a split second and then is fine again.

try vaccum pipes, poss leak? also ht leads may be on way out. spray all leads with wd40 inc coil ht & lt leads, if this tempararly, cures it replace or secure wiring . check all wiring for wear or loosness on ignition.hope it helps.

Make sure the plug gaps are right.I did a scopio V6 years ago with a missfire and one of the new plugs wasnt gapped properly.
