alot of the card companies will let you transfer the balance for either a standard rate or you can get balance transfer cards that offer 0% but you can only transfer your balance over not make payments using it

hope that makes sense

so you can tarnsfer your existing balence for nothing, but then if you buy something on it you'll be cahrged the 14.9% say, but some will let you transfer the money across and still have 0% on anything you buy?

All depends on the deal!

The majority will show 0% on ballance transfers...

Idealy you want a card that will give the above and 0% on purchases...

There will also be another figure quoted which shows the % after the introductory rate ends.

If changing between cards like on a rolling basis its best to leave 5weeks before the end of the introductory rate to transfer to save you acruing intrest charges.

There is not normaly a charge for transfering Balances! As the CC companies hope you will forget about transfering after the introductory rate and gain by charging you interest.

Example

http://www.find.co.uk/credit_cards_c...st_Buys_Table/

Danny your with BOS so the top 1 is no good for you! But for others it may be of interest giving 9months on Purchases and Transfers.

Danny TSB may be ideal for transfering any current ballance you may have to! All depends if you plan spending more on your card!
