I can't find a set of the rubber boots for the rear shocks anywhere.

Thats all that is stopping me getting the Gaz Gold's off and up for sale and my new Koni's fitted.

Not enjoying the coil-overs then.

Does it have to be original Ford ones? I think I bought some from SCA when I first fitted my Koni's as the original Ford ones were knackered.

All sorted now Danny, thanks.

Hoping to get them fitted over the weekend or early next week.

Coilovers just aren't for me, on a car thats driven/enjoyed 95% on the road, especially given that I am an old man.

I sometimes wish my Koni's were a bit softer on the road, so God know's what it would be like on coil-overs.

Once yours are on I'll have to have a look sometime- mine have never felt or sat right on the front since I got them, so I'm curious to find out what might be wrong.

What springs do you have Danny? I've always thought yours looks standard height-wise?

I loved mine on the Koni's and looking forward to that back again.

Springs are whatever came in the kit (no Koni markings though) and should only be 30mm lower (XR3i kit). With the wheels hanging the springs are loose in the cups, also there's very little thread showing at the top mounts.

The back-end is perfect, but the front is noticeably higher, giving a 'nose-up' stance.

Probably should've looked further into it before doing 3 track-days... but I'm a lazy sod.

I wonder if they've been put together wrong. Worth checking if you ask me.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, just realised that I am missing the spring cups too, they went with the old Koni's. FUUUUUUUCK.

Oh well, I can get the rears on for the time-being. Will hopefully do that when I finish work today.
