Default s2 overheating

hello, does anyone else's series 2 escort rs turbo overheat in traffic? mine does it all the time an is realli startin to annoy me now! iv had all the cooling side of things checked an theres no problem there...i no its an old car an they do it alot but does anyone no any good ways of how to keep it cooler? iv got twin fans and a big ally rad already!!

ideas anyone? thanx

82° Thermostat would be another thing to try. Makes a bit of a difference.

Mine used to run warm in traffic. There was air in cooling system! Also i've changed the thermostat with a 82 C and put 2 fans on the rad. Now temm in traffic is between the ''n'' and ''o'' (on the gauge). And here temperatures are 35-40 C now.....

if it gets too hot, turn the heater on full wack.
the temps will drop right down. it'll be hot inside for a while, but turn it off when your moving again.

The heater matrix is like a small rad, so it's like turning another cooling fan on!
82 degree thermo lets the water pass through the rad earlier starting to cool the water before it gets as hot as as standard thermo (90 degrees IIRC).

mines started gettin hot on motorway driving ??? but fine in town and traffic is not to bad everything checked as normal and replaced all that i can think of is rad now ! how do i check to see if it is the rad cos water is circulating
