i know everyone is gonna laugh at me but is it possible to change a KA to automatic? im more looking along the lines of a straight fit not a complete refit, do the escort/fiesta offer a doner 1.3 auto box thats a bolt in and play etc?

any suggestions welcome

 

I'm fairly sure ford used this engine in auto and fwd configuration so yes could be done.
There are other ford fwd auto boxes that would no doubt fit anyway, CTX ATX for example.

yeah they did make this engine in an auto, i'd say there must be an auto ka out there, I haven't seen one though. but i've seen fiesta autos so it could be done i'd say. but i'd probably try to find a scrap mot failed fiesta with one in it. that way you have everything you need. don't forget ya gotta change pedal box and everything as well though.
