mk3 fiesta immobiliser
hi passion ford,
my mate has a mk3 fiesta, nothing special, just a 1.2base model. it needs the basttery charging as its stood still for about a year but every time he puts jump leads or a charger on it, the immobiliser and alarm go off. he doesnt have a coded radio and has no key fob either.
what can he do to get it running without the alarm blaring? i told him not to just cut the immobiliser wires as it may not start at all then.
all help gratefully received.

He will need to disable them when he next jump starts it. The alarm saves its settings when it loses power, so if the alarm is enabled when the battery doesn't give it juice it will reactivate once turned on again.
This leads to the more pressing issue, something is draining the battery if he has to keep jump starting it, you need to track this down.
