t3 conversion is pretty easy really.just finished an xr2i to turbo power converison using a t3.need t3 obv,t3 oil feed pipe,t3 manifold and escort rs t manifold gasket.oil return plus stub to go in block, move rad forward as actuator will hit rad.thats it really.
oh yeah best to get bigger injectors and pump to cope with it plus 195 chip

As above its a easy conversion, Only problem is the space is tight.
Mine runs a. Hybrid stage 3 T3,195 superchip, beige injectors, escort cosworth fuel pump, with a lsd gearbox to help, produces a healthy reliable 200 bhp.

I think your on about my old car - stg1 turbo T3, jamsport head, kent 36 and made 161bhp unchipped. i sold the car to turboboy67 before he sold it on to another member

T3 is the easiest conversion going providing you have all the bit's ready to go.

The oil return to the block has to come from a ERST and ford stopped selling so you'll have to source one of those first.

I bolted everything up and towed the car to a powerflow centre and got them to make a downpipe on the car - it was about 5 years ago but cost me £45.

Options for the rad are:-

Fiesta Si (if you run front mount) 33% extra cooling area
Alloy rads are normally slimmer

I have had it rolling roaded at totd have graph to prove, so no myths here, not once has it slipped or given me problems and the car does get used. Town driving, motorway driving.

Hi all just got a fiesta rs with a hybrid t3 & omex management system
Stage 3 head, 2 bar map sensor, omex harness(fuel), cosworth injectors piper285t2 camshaft & a lot more. It was running 2bar of boost but has been lowered to 1bar cos it had a new engine build not long back.

Is the boost done by the omex management or by the bleed value that it has as i want to put it back up to 2bar.

All the work was done by powerengineering a few years back at cost of 2k
with out the turbo & over bits.

Is 2bar for a t3hybrid on its limit & whats the limit for a standard headgasket as the engine would not run with a group A one after the rebuild
Cheers Rich---anyinfo on these car would help as dont no much about them

2 bar(28psi) seems a lot for a t3 pal, i would have thought 22psi would have been the maximum for a t3 and the ford head gasket, what t3 is it i know u said it's a hybrid but is it from a s1/s2 or cosworth?, do u know the uprated spec of the internals of the turbo and the engine

mine is running 1.2bar(18psi) which is a safe, reliable amount

I thought 2bar was abit high lol, iv got all the bills for the work & parts done.

The turbo is a escort rs hybrid 1.5 its water cooled so i think a s2turbo one & was bought from powereng a few year back but has only done 5kmile.
The bottom end is rebuilt with new standard pistons i think & a full arp nut & stud kit it has a powereng stage 3 head ap organic clutch, the gearbox is from a escort rs, escos brakes, avo evo coilovers.

It was rolled at 210bhp when done a few years back But has ad 2 more owners since.

Its done 4k miles with new rebuilt & is as quite fuck! what so of psi well get me around 210bhp.

The battery is in the boot to allow for the k&n filter.

hi pal again with the bits you've done and i take it you have a fmic, i would have thought 14/16psi will give u the figure u require, your pistons won't take more than 20-22psi

Sorry to jump on your post but i have a question, Can you just put a T3 on with the standard ECU and chip to run it in. Reason being i've just taken my Ferriday 1820 CVH turbo engine out of my XR2 turbo to change it back to a 1600 so as to turn it back to a road car only. It'll be easier to run in on a T3 as the exhaust is less pissing about.

Cheers, Ginger

Cheers mate, thats gonna make my life a lot easier. With the amal valve i'm gonna have to cut the plug of as the ERST valve has a different plug. Do you know if the wire have to go a cetain way around, am i right in quessing that 1 wire is an earth on both types????
