Apart from the standard LSD gearbox, which some RST's came with, what others will fit? without any modifications.. just a fit and go?

I need a new gearbox, and i am going for a different setup soon but still want to use the car to travel to shows and back. i need a gearbox at a good price, i dont wanna fork out 100s for a LSD as atm i cant afford it,

So what gearbox's fit? without any messing around. and more money being spent. as i need the cash for my new one im having started in sept.

1.6 XR3I box? i here you can get them cheap. but how cheap?

 

any mk3 or m4 5 speed will fit m8,LSD box wont cost ya 100 quid most of the time, i got a couple of 3I boxes to

 

just a shame your so far away, otherwise that would of been ideal.. just had a quote for a mark 4 gearbox and they want Ł80. then Ł80 fitted.

would fit it myself but currently have no place to do it, as i dont have a garage.

 

The only BUT in fitting just any mk3/mk4 box to a S2, is that IF it still uses the ABS, not all have gearbox cases have the mounting holes for the modualators.

 

well, it currently has a 1.8 D box and the ABS has not been removed yet. dont use it anymore

 

yea any box out a mk3 or 4 as carl says si u can get a lsd for 200 brand new up here surely its worth saving and spending a few quid more for the lsd i had diesel box on my cab and it was terrible 1 wheel drive all the way

 

i'd happily fit it if u wanna drive down

Well, sourced a LSD, and got my bro to get me a clutch throw work, as he can get fast road clutches throw his work.

then going to a mates on sunday as i cant do it at mine, dont have the room, so jobs a good un.

 

rs 2000 gearbox will fit just m8
