polybush the rear arm need review from those who do it
I have some play with 1 wheel
the outer original bush sames to be dead
I do some search and read pationate post
some guys tell NO polybush for the rear arm, only original cause it's spherical inside
as you can see on the picture, not sure it's true (picture comes from a restauration post)

my question is simple :
for those who put powerflex bushes (the strongest) for the rear arm
you feel it's great or after you find that handling was bad and you regreat original bushes
thanks

from what I have driven if the rear arms are poly bushed they are not as tight a rear end as rose jointed or even std Ford joints, Ford parts are mega expensive though so thats why you see a lot poly bushed instead.
I think with a bit more metal in them poly would be brilliant but they text to move/wander around a bit much- gives a vague feel

Unfortunately its going to be a matter of having to polybushing the rear trail arms at some point as the outer ones are nla from ford
the inner bushes are still available @ £75 each plus the vodka and tonic

I think I will buy poly bushes (powerflex)
powerflex can be yellow, purple or black (stiffer to stronger)
not sure you can have the rear arm bushes in every color
for those who buy powerflex, they come in yellow or purple ?
thanks

Don't think it works like that pal, on my old 850 i had to use purple engine mounts and on my mates s70 he had to use yellow one's. Its all down to the material the bush sit in.
Some people who supply poly bushes do use different colours to denote hardness, it's only a colour that is added.
It is possible to get the bushes in ANY colour from certain people though, it is also possible to beef up standard bushes using hard grade poly where any voids exist such as rear diff hanger.
My mate is supplying someone with seriously beefed up engine and gearbox mounts, by filling the void with a shore 90 poly, this has excellent tear/shear characteristics, and the feedback word of "awsome" is most used.
They guy who is having the mounts beefed up wanted yellow bushes so a batch are being done in yellow to suit all his suspension powder coated bits.
Powerflex are seriously overpriced, for the materials used, there is no reason technically or otherwise why for example flo flex, superflex and similar will be any different material wise, my mate has shit loads of the stuff delivered and the company he uses do research into any "unique" properties that some bushes might have, not found any difference from any maker yet from one to another.
It is even possible to have multi coloured bushes, but they are not for structural use, more just aesthetic as have to be cured seperate(colour wise) so not strong just for show.
