Default NEED HELP AGAIN" rs wont strat :-(

well, got a new battery today, fitted it started the car and it ran..
turned it off and then went inside. tryed to fire it up and wont run.

we put some fuel init just incase, whats happened it that the fuel pump is priming, but when we stop trying to fire it up the pump makes a sound like its grinding, asin empty, could this be my problem? and anything else to check, otherthan getting aload more fuel init because were not sure on the reading. also its a brand new battery, well thats gone dead :S we can do any reading or testing on the alternator

we have spark, we can smell fuel inside the engine bay. it started when the battery was connected as said but now it wont fire up.. god this car is doing my head in LOL

Help please people

take air filter of and check that metering unit flap is bouncing when your trying to start and get an assistant to depress it a tiny amount to see if that helps

sounds like your fuel pressure is low and pump is dying.
you'll get fuel but it will run down ports and not mist like it should.

ok i think i know ur prob mate, if it ran out of fuel they often get air locks in the fuel system, try undoing 1 of the banjoo bolts on the metering head then while someone holds the fuel pump realy on, you hold the flap on the metering head down till fuel comes out. do this with all 4 of the bolts then give it a go m8.

hope this helps
