Just wondered if there was a mk6 mock up done. Got told there was but not seen any photos.

 

They had the maxi style mk6's I do remember seeing a cossied one before

 

years ago i remember TFrallysport selling a Mk6 escort that was a special build from boreham i think. Looked like a Mk6 escort with wide wings. Could of been a Mk5 Escort with Mk6 front and rear end. But still looked very different and cool. By the time the Mk6 escort was out i would guess that Fords would have stopped messing with the Cosworth engine and shells. Who knows?

I thought they didn't bother, because it was going to cost to much to meet new emission's reg's and the car would have be 2db to loud under new goverment guid line's. I could and problely am wrong though.

 

The escort cossie ran into the normal escort 5a/6 production times. Sure you can buy 1995/1996 small turbo versions. They didn't have the mk6 lights though.
