Default RS TURBO, using water?!

Right, the engine has about 5k on it,
And i check oil, coolant etc every week or so...

I went out shopping today, tesco is about 1 mile away, after doing my shopping i pooped the bonnet and there was next to no coolant in the header tank, the lever was well below min.

I last checked it about 2 weeks before and it was fine right on max level.

there are no signs of a leak or that the head gaskets gone either.
