The car is in the auto electricians at the min and he just rang asking where the ABS ECU is located on a 1996 escort cosworth

Can anyone tell me where it is?

is it not at the passenger foot well on the left hand side i know the ecu is there would imagine thats also there

 

I know the engine management one is there but im not sure if the ABS one is there also?

 

it's in the boot N/S rear quater

get it read
if you post up your problem you'll probably find the pf clan will fix the fault

 

What software do you need to be able to read the fault and where is the diagnostics port for it?

The auto electrican said he cant get a wiring diagrame anywhere but he will sort it anyway. He said the pump isnt getting power at all tho.

 

the pump system has it's own power supply in fact it has 2 for safety, so the pump will work even if you stick the ecu in the toilet

 

Both of the power supplys arent working then lol.

Can ford still use the diagnostics for the escort cosworth? I know the only dealer here who had the old break out box for the sierra sent it back to dagenham a long time ago he said. He said best they could do for the sierra was one of those flashing led reader things
