it's a MLR day, so that should be interesting for my little pug..lol

Spiky - Im on in the Primera, Ben is there in the black 3dr Cossie, The Brothers Grim (fitzys) are there in the Audi RS4, Disco is there in the Skyline R32, and we think DC will be there (not in the silver escos cos of the broken crank issue) in his Audi S4, and Jay in the 350bhp turbo Nova.

Should be an interesting day ahead!!


Oh yeah, Rich will be there in his Silver Evo 5, just to keep the MLR happy!

No mate, Ben didnt do the RSOC day.

We've only just come back from a very eventful 2 day trackday at Spa in Belgium, so everyones busy fettling for the 1st August.

If Jay gets on in the Nova, keep an eye out for it, to coin a Porkie phrase, Its "spastically fast".

Last year there was such a poor turnout of cars considering how popular i thought an evo day would be, looked there was loads of tracktime to be had though as the same few cars were out all day!

im there in my pug, working flat out now to get her ready after 4 month build. mot tomorrow then up in the mountains for testing

 

Haha, that's alright made no need to apologise lol! I only live 15 minutes up the road so often pop up to thing like that.....in all honesty unless i'm out on track in my car now i don't have much interest in just going up to watch a trackday anymore! Embarrass a few evo's for me guys, always love to see that lol!

 

Had a fantastic day yesterday despite the truly awful weather conditions, rain pretty much non stop all day.

Spiky was absolutley flying all day, not much if anything at all went past him.

Lots of the evo boys were struggling in the rain () even the Primera was passing plenty of them!

The day was run very very smoothly by the MLR so big thanks to them, the only stoppage was a fairly big off between a Mk2 XR2 and a tidy Mk2 Golf gti, both very much written off, but thankfully no injuries.

It was the slippiest i have EVER seen combe, like WD40 was falling from the sky instead of rain!

Hi matt, was a great day in all, even the weather didnt really dampen it

i did morning on r888's and was pretty good, just the odd corner to watch out for

then in the after noon i put on my competition wets, well FOOK ME they were sticker than a very sticky thing, i had grip EVERYWHERE it was better than r888's in the dry, i was truely shocked as it was the first time i used them

on the last session of the day i was lapping in 1m30's (going of my dvr) and i was lapping everyone in abour 7-10 mins..lol that included exiges, pugs r32 skyline and some evo's, i was loving it

nearly uploaded all my videos will post them up once done

 

I know what you mean about the full wets, Ben was using them on the black 3dr and he was flying as well.

Like you say the difference is night and day.

 

ah ha, so thats how he was going so well

did he complain about when we were going aroudn together on one session?

on some parts i could get away from him, esp out of some corners, but other times he could catch me, was a good little battle though

 

Nope - no complaints from Ben at all, he said how well you were going, they black flagged him one session cos someone had a whinge about being overtaken by him, but that was all LOL

You two were probably the fastest cars out there all day.

THIS guy was the single most impressive driver there for me..

Keeping up with BIG BIG power evos, and that Nissan GTR in his 106 gti.
and going sideways round tower.. really good to watch.

 

Had a cracking first trackday in my pug, road tyres in the morning were terrible. No grip at all from them, changed to r888 in the afternoon and it felt much better. i need to sort the suspension as the rear needs lowering and im still waiting for the bilstein rear shocks, gearbox needs looking at as she keeps jumping out of third. Spiky was flying as usual and i even past a few cars
