Uprated 2wd Gearbox Mount
Hi,
i am looking at upgrading my gearbox mount from the standard rubber one to a harder material (poly).
i have looked at the vibratecnics mount but from the pictures i have seen look like they are solid mounted, not 100% sure though.
any reccomendations as to which mounts are the best ones to upgrade to. am only upgrading as am getting alot of movement on pulling of and hard acceleration with my new higher torque clutch.

I'm also interested in this...
I've heard that the alloy Vibratechnics ones are to be avoided unless it's a track car because of the noise and vibration. If someone sone a poly one that'd be the ideal compromise!

The Vibra technics gearbox mount has some rubber insulators on the mounting bolts so its not solid. I have one fitted on my car and its not bad noise wise but its spot on taking away the movement.
There was an issue with the first design as the insulators were too soft and the vibration was bad but after testing different hardnesses I think its about right.
You do get a bit of transmission noise though the car but its not as bad as the 4x4 mount for some reason.
I sell all the Vibra Technics products so PM me if you are want a price for it.
Cheers
