hi there, i hope someone can give me some advice, my car used to have good and bad days, but now it's playing up all the time, when it comes on to boost it stutters, the car judders and it won't hold boost at all, it drives like an xr2i, but if you put your foot down gently, it doesn't judder so harshly when it reaches boost.
i've tried a different map sensor, dump valve, breathers, boost hoses, filters, and it's starting to get me down.
the car is standard apart from a k and n filter, dump valve, and an uprated actuator that was on the car when i bought it. if anyone can give me any help it would be greatly appreciated. thanks nathan

i hav the same problem, ive herd it mite be petrol pump, i can boost up and gun along,but wen i go to do it again it splutters and holds back unless u put ya foot down realy slowly,definatly sounds like petrol problem

 

i've been told it's the actuator, new one being fitted soon, the actuator is knackered, boosting high, mine goes to a bar, then the amal sensor cuts off and the ecu will boosta t about 4psi, until you reset by turning off the ignition. common problem apparently.

 

but i hav brand new turbo and actuator hmmmmmm

what are you boosting at??? if its too high the car WILL go in limp mode if not chipped

 

Youve got a Superchip by the sounds of things. Or worse still, no chip.

 

im runnin 9 psi but i turned it down so its bout 5psi now and it still does it, i aint got a chip
