Default rocker cover..repaint

want to repaint my cosworth rocker,,, but want a great finish as doing it diy job..

any tips. or anyone go pics of how they done theres

I nitromored mine so it had no paint on, then degreased loads. I used some hammerite blue aerosol paint from halfords, as it looked somewhere like the proper blue! It was on a spare cam cover so was just an experiment that turned out much better than expected!
All i did was spray the entire thing...

and then got a scraper with a stanley blade in and just went over the parts i didnt want paint on. It came off all in one lump.




Then i polished up the parts i scraped with abit of metal polish and it looked brand new. no pics of that though, cant seem to find them.

its called nitromores and its in a green tin and can get it from halfords

a good coat of 2K primer




it was then baked in the booth then flatted down again.

green on



flatted down again..




then finnally 2k laquered.

I know exactly what you mean, its all the sanding and flatting

Has the heat effected the paint/finish??

im really worried as soon as mine gets warm its going to look pants

haha asap really its read for the engine to go back in, i just gotta shell, out bout Ł700 for all the bits i need.
