Used it on my FRST and it really helped to bring down underbonnet temprature. Helpful if your'e using an induction filter.

Downside- bastard to fit properly with exhaust still on car, or maybe it was 'cause I'm a useless mechanic?

Not a bad idea, it works...goes brittle after a while and starts falling apart though, not sure how long it lasts?

doesnt seem to matter how tightly you wrap it, how many ties or jubiless clips you use, it always starts to un-ravel and fall apart. Ceramic coating is the best thing, bust costly

I don't believe in keeping all that heat in, unless the internals have been spec'd to cope. (valves etc).

Im about to try heatwrapping my manifold to try an get under bonnet temps down, heard it can cause standard manifold to crack though.
Someone on here also said on a previous thread that it may make the car spit the odd flame out the exhaust to?????
