I own a 1.6 zetec, and first decided to fit a janspeed, as it was the same one that sat on my escort, but due to them being tooooo lazy, I went the Scorpion way, I know perhaps the endtail is a bit mediocre, BUT
i deffo like the exhaust note from it, in combination with an induction kit it roars!! deffo worth in having a look at it

 

yep - scorpion for me too!! Highly recommend a cat back system

 

I have the mongoose full system along with the de-cat on mine, and it is a really distinctive note.

mongoose exhausts are made by a company called Blueflame, they may sell an exhaust for the st170 and it will be cheaper then the mongoose.

i got my exhaust from Power Engineering (the same as whats on their 400BHP focus) but it cost around £700 3" turbo back and 3.5" tail pipe.

 

Custom made one from pipercraft - its a dual 3" exit jobbie with the centre box cut out, meeaaty sound even though it's a 1.6

powerflow on mine although im wondering whether or not to get rid of the middle section? i had a 3" tail on at first but got it changed to a 4" slash cut tail instead. i was going to get the cat removed too but they tell me that there really noisy when removed???

 

sure i saw a carbon can on yours with RAGE stamped on it???

Been driving my mates focus rs today, its been fitted with a milltek system from puma speed including decat pipe and that thing really barks, gives me a semi when it comes on boost

 

What did you get fitted on your ST170 in the end Dave ???

 

i have a custom back pipe replacing the back box with twin 3" zorsts, wen the pennies arrive i'll be getting the de-cat pipe and the rest finished from the down-pipe

 

i have a janspeed box on mine. looks alright.
any one any ideas to easily replace the middle box to get more noise? i had thought of removing all muffling from it, but is there an easier way?
