strange? Have you check the wiring for the temp wire. Some people say take the wiring plug out the back of the monitor for a few mins for it to sort reset. Check the connection at the ecu end of the wiring

You've got an open circuit on the connections from the monitor to the ECT sensor. Either the sensor is poked, or the wiring somewhere - how did you make the connections onto the ECU plug?

The SECs was fitted when the car was bought.

Im pretty sure the ECT sensor would be fine, as it runs fine, doesnt over fuel etc

I will see if we can check the wiring today

Maybe the wires from monitor to the ecu are a bit loose so it is reading a very high resistance? (more resistance = lower temp)
