Default What a fool.

Got carried away when stripping and cleaning fuel pump and accumulator plus cradle. Meant to note down which way round the accumulator plumbs in but didn't and now i'm lost its a 50/50 gamble. Haha. Anyone know which way round it should go? Or just which one the pump plumbs in to? To clear it up there's a bigger and smaller "Attachment" and they both take the same size fuel line. Just need to know if it's the bigger or smaller one that the fuel pump line connects on to. Those who've done this will know what i mean i'm sure! Cheers if anyone understands me and can help.
Steve.

pictures are worth thousands of words hre fella

as a thoguht thgouh, are the pipes shaped in any way that would suggest a certain orientation of fitment?

from what i can remember it'll be tank/filter/pump although i'm sure i've seen tank/pump/filter on a lot of motors

Nah, thats not what I mean mate. There is a cradle that has the fuel pump and accumulator on it side by side. The accumulator is round with two fittings out of it. Both take same size pipe but not sure which fitting should connect to which pipe (one is bigger nut size to other). I can't get a pic up till later as i'm at work now (will try though). Cheers for your help mate.

It's ok! In searching tirelessly for a pic or some clue, i found a pic with the fuel pump pipe on it. From this I determined that the larger fitting is the "IN" and the smaller is the "OUT". Thought i'd post this so if anyone else has this kind of needless issue of not proof marking! haha. Cheers.

the "accumulator" is actually the fuel filter, and if it looks like it hasn't been changed recently it's worth changing it

it didn't actually look too bad, the cradle was the main issue. Was gonna fit an in-line filter. Would that not be sufficent? I want to keep the non-return aspect of the accumulator thats all. Or do you know of a good replacement unit?
Cheers.

The filter has a arrow on it to show direction.

Yeah saw these ones. Mine's slightly different. Both inlet and outlet are up the same end. Got a similar unit to what I have thats not original in the end. Will see how it works out. Cheers

If you forget to get new copper washers, you can re-anneal(soften) the old ones by heating to cherry red colour and letting cool.
