Default Opinions on CVH22k?

For my cab, just wanting a little more grunt since everythings being taken apart. Thinking of the middle of the three kits available cause i think the top on will be little rough to drive normally, am i right?

Not too bothered if it's a little lumpier than normal with this kit but don't want it lurching or hesitating or cutting out at low revs lol.

Opinions and alternative?

Also does anyone know what gaskets come in the kit from Kent?

Thanks.

Might need to raise the idle speed closer to 1k but other than that its a reasonably good cam! You wont get any gaskets, just the cam, followers and lube

Thumbs up cams

i had these in an old orion.... tick over was no different... mid range and top end power was increased quite dramatically... do it you wont regret it... mine used to rev to 7k... it blew the rocker posts out on occasions, we modified these and all was good

Interesting, the kent website says it comes with gasket fitment kit, lube and timing disc, valve springs and cam followers lol. Does it come with the extra bits if it's the performance cam kit (that's what the 'k' stands for)? Not too bothered about higher rev cause dizzy only allows 6500ish. Just wanted more grunt mid range.

Does it make any difference to sound? My exhaust made a lovely rasp around 2000 rpm. Standard twin box system on 3i cab.

I put a cvh 22 cam in my fiesta that I used to race. I only raced it once and was not happy.

The cam was taken out and replaced with the cvh 35 cam and double valve springs. Much better and it was even better when I put DCNF Downdraughts.

With the cvh 22 it made 115bhp on the rollers, and with the cvh35 it made 127bhp and loads more torque.

So... any difference to sound then?

I'm not going for all out power as already said. And i've heard the less mild cams give lumpier idle.
