If ive just started my policy (like a week or two ago) and i find another company cheaper, can i ring my existing company and tell them to see if they can do anything? or is it too late now that ive started it and they've taken the full amount?

 

The idea of "shopping around" is to do it BEFORE you pay someone the full amount for a service they provide.

Dont be too upset if they tell you to fuck off.

Correct - If within 14 days you CAN cancel the policy actually! lol .

But the insurance company will be able to add an admin fee and take the 14 days of used cover into account.

As above - yes, you can cancel a policy within the first 14 days, they call it a cooling off period.

But also as above, I expect the 'admin fee' they will charge will be a damn site more than you can save by going elsewhere!
