Default New Laptop Help... Speakers And Other Things...

Well, my old laptop wasn't in good condition. I had 5 keys missing which had to be used on copy and paste, or trying to type without the use of said letters. My screen was broke so I had it connected to an LCD monitor which was an old one and half the screen wasn't working anyway. The speakers had blew... You get the idea. Well eventually I couldn't turn it on because it said there was no hard disk. I was trying to fix it when I was told to stop being so tight, and go and buy one. I was never going to fix it, as I am an electrical turd. Takes me an hour to realise something isn't plugged in. I know I am rambling, but I feel priveladged to have all my keys. Which brings me neatly on to the whole point of this thread.

I went to PC World, which I wouldn't normally do but if it breaks they'll fix it, and it's 2 minutes away. Plus it's covered so I'll get a new model yearly when I have my annual coke throwing contest at the laptop... Joke.

First of all, I love Vista and I was wondering what neat things it can do which will amuse my small mind? Secondly, the speakers sound shit. Very tinny, as though I am listening to this music on a cheap phone. Can I adjust? Lastly, I was told I can't download stuff on Vista, and I'd need to buy all my products, which I being smart said 'I'm always the first to crack things, I've hacked Bill Gates' computer'. He said I'd never do it. Anyway, as normal I am going to torrent? All should be fine, right?

P.S Apolgoies for any spelling mistakes, I'm not proof reading all that.

Thanks, Benni.

it's to do with the upgrades on vista

it makes sure everyting is working fine

there is also a lot more "safety" on it as it asks you everytime somethings about to happen if you've allowed it to happen or if it's osme bogus thing trying to get onto your computer

the sound on the laptops though is terrible, so you may just have to put up with it or get some stand alone speakers
