As the gases flow down the exhaust they cool and contract so I bet the 2 inch pipe at the end doesn't restrict it.

i got one on mine, cant really hear as if its being restricted, has got 3" all the way through to the box, and know what Dicko&sarah said i was wondering about than when i fitted it, my ones got the 4" out pipe, the one i wanted was the 3" and this had a bigger internal inside.. but sounded like a wet fart so put the scorpion back on!

Odd being restrictive, heard this crap before, no doubt started by a competitor exhaust company, or some nob head assuming the smaller diametre at the rear meant that.
When swapped around on a certain 530bhp yb with another competitor exhaust the difference was 1.8bhp, in favour of the scorpion, this difference would be natural in the same run on the same spec, as they do vary so in essence no difference either way, the competitor was a Mongoose.

They are indeed restrictive.

I changed a good condition Scorpion for a new Mongoose. I had to take a fair bit of preload off the actuator as the car was overboosting.

I think it's the centrebox as well but I've never seen inside one.
