Default VW experts please.

hi guys,

'52' plate golf 1600 16 valve BCB eng code.
The engine has pumped its oil into the coolant system.

First port of call was to change the oil cooler and flush system.
Three weeks later, car returns with same problem. Is now a little worse overflowing the header tank with the oil/coolant mix.
Next was to remove head, check headgasket for failure and signs of cracks in head/block. No faults found.

Any ideas guys. Whats next to try?? Common problems??
Have head crack tested, get another lump or .........?????????????????

Cheers guys

Dave

You may crack test the head, there not much more you can do at this stage. The cooler's (modine type at the oil filter area) do give a bit of trouble, is it possible you got a faulty one, has happened before from VW. If the head has to go back on, run the engine and bypass the cooler.
