Cheers for replys. Would be FWD, so anymore to add ? What is needed to do this ? Parts etc He is a novice to ford etc and i'm useless only buy ready done cars.
If he went to a garage with a standard LX, what sort of price would he be looking at if he bought all second hand parts from them ? This may or break it for him as dont think he realises how much it would cost.

FWD?? My advice is dont go there! Just turbo the original engine, I have just done a 362hp one of those. If you want to use a YB then the best option is not transverse.
prob looking at 1500 for fab work 1k for panting the bits again and about 3k in parts then about 1k to get it all ftted and running and they are all descent prices
How much did that cosr Martin ? Rough price ? Drive in drive out etc ?
Cheers
That would be hard to quantify as there's much more to do than you would ever imagine, my Mondeo is a proper finished product and to get it to that stage takes time (expensive hours) but drive in drive out I reckon you would be spending 10k ... Sounds like a lot of money but the end result is a really stiff chassis that's way better than a Sapphire... Wheelbase is longer too.
Btw I'm not interested in doing the conversion, I'd rather have the only Mondeo Cosworth !
