Default Help! Anybody got any ideas whats wrong with my escort? Help!!

Ive got a Escort si 1.8 r reg, been havin problems wiv it 4 months now, thought we had all ideas wot was wrong wiv it sorted but nothing seems 2 be working.

It runs fine then it will just start mis firing, losing power and running rich, and theres a clicking noise like a relay. I have 2 rev it loads 2 keep it going and then it will stop and start working again, it was doin this every few weeks but now its more than twice a day.

Its been to 2 garges and they dont know the problem and It has had the air flow meter changed and also changed the fuse box but nothing has changed.... help im on the verge of scrapping the bloody thing!!!

An ecu wouldn't click though. I'll put money on it being the fuel pump relay!
