Default My work car (not a ford)

This is my work car. Owned it for about a year when my Grandad passed away in May 2008. Although its slow and looks like a jelly mould, its a very clean and tidy car and he loved it. Might look like a Micra to us but in the world of OAP's this beast has some real pulling power.

It's very reliable and i do about 500 miles a week in it with regular oil/filter changes and its now at 57,000 miles. It's a 2001 Nissan Micra Activ 1.0 with air con, c/l, e/w, reverse park sensors, electric adjustable headlights and with most of my driving being on the motorway i can get about 50mpg out of it. Its cheap to insure & tax and just gave it a wash and thought i'd post up some pics.

He was an original east end cockney and it was his 1st anniversary of his death last month so i dedicate this post to him

Thanks

it's a 1.0 16v with 59bhp, Brakes well but doesn't handle very well, soft suspension and skinny wheels.
Had the aircon serviced and I've put Bosch wiper blades and Philips BlueVision headlight bulbs in and it makes all the difference driving in the rain and at night.

Its also got clear side repeaters (one cracked and was cheaper to replace with clears off ebay then originals + looks loads better)

Gave it a good service today as its just over 61,000 now. Important that it keep it in good condition as i clocked up nearly 30,000 in the year i've had it and its used as a work car.

Oil & Filter Renewal: Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 £34.38
Fuel Filter Renewal £11.99
Advanced Anti-Freeze Renewal (5 Year Warranty) £17.99
Bosch Super 4 Spark Plug Renewal £19.99
Redex Injector Cleaner Treatment £1.99
K&N Panel Air Filter £33.99
ADL Blue Print Front Discs & Pads £32.58
2x Auxiliary Drive Belts £20.93
Bringing the total service to £173.84

Also got some copper grease, brake cleaner, and a caliper piston tool which is bloody brilliant and made pushing the pistons back in soooooo much easier
