well after looking at 40 cars (yes, 40) I finally found a car that suited me perfectly.

2002 02 Passat PD130

89k, no service history (but rang up prev owner and managed to get full VW SH ) completely standard in lovely blue colour, SE so has everything bar leather cruise control and a cd player (2002 car near top of range but only a tape player...wtf ?) the leather and CC im going to retro-fit and i have an alpine iva D100 and a Pioneer P77mp to choose from to go in!

Mods wise, im going to concentrate on engine mods and ICE and leave everything else standard bar perhaps some tints!

Also thinking of taking off the badges and putting 1.6 ones on for some comedy sleeperism!!

car is so great its the 5 speed but the tdi engine........wow. Only tdi ive owned is a 306 DTurbo and it was shonky, but this one is the quickest ive owned, 130hp (more like 150 actually) and 225lb/ft.

What tuning options do i have ? going to go with an evolution chips remap but need to ask Stu if I can get a soft remap so I dont kill my clutch and so I get linear torque all the way through the rev range instead of a hit in the back at 2.5k and then nothing!

Also looking into a panel filter but unsure of which ones as K&N need lube which kills the MAF. Someone said something about MAF de-screening, any ideas what this means ?

Will get pics when i get a cam, will try and see if a mate can do me a photoshoot with his DSLR...

Im trying to source some Phaeton Challenge alloys, they look different and very oem+ But I will need coilovers so more expense

All in all very happy

One snag....cant tax it till 1st July, so cant drive it till then, had to get a mate to drive it home as they wouldnt daily-insure me as im not 23, FAIL!

Get mine back today from mates garage as its been getting a new clutch kit and dmf before remapping it and also full suspension kit fitted since it sits like a land rover standard
